How it Works

graphic image 5In a typical installation, the ICS detectors will be fitted to all equipment which is to be monitored. The detectors will not influence the functioning of this host equipment and will not require any changes to the detectors or note paths and mechanisms in the host equipment.

The detectors will have an independent power supply and will not draw power or any IT linkage from the host equipment. By doing this, ICS is able to guarantee that it will not impact the function of the host equipment and should not therefore have any warranty or service effects.

The detectors will have an IT link to the ICS servers and will download all captured information on a regular basis which can be agreed with the individual customer. The timing of such downloads can be varied to suit specific customers and can be modified if specific issues need to be assessed at any point in time.

The information from the field will be securely held in ICS servers and will be made available to individual customers under security conditions via a customer specific IP address. At this address customers will be able to call up a pre set number of reports which will provide them with note quality data and also operational and efficiency statistics. Subject to agreement this service can also provide a benchmarking facility to assess performance against other sites, countries or equipment types and also by note details such as denomination or supplier.

In addition to this standard reporting architecture ICS has developed the software such that customers can devise their own reports from the stored information. ICS will liaise with the customers IT function to facilitate such customisation of reporting.
